Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides critical care to patients with the highest severity of illness in the 24-bed Surgical, Trauma and Transplant Intensive Care Unit (SICU). This role involves delivering patient-centered care using advanced technology and a multidisciplinary team approach to manage critically ill trauma and solid organ transplant patients. The position requires accountability for the nursing process, direct patient care, and the administration of medications and therapeutic agents. Nurses in this role also educate patients on disease prevention and assess signs of illness to initiate emergency procedures when indicated.
