About this role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for Unit D5, a cardiovascular step-down unit within St. Joseph's Health's Virtual Connected Care model. The role involves managing acutely ill patients with medical, cardiac, and vascular conditions, utilizing telemetry monitoring and specialized stroke training in a 12/12 hour rotating shift environment.

Responsibilities

Monitor Class I telemetry and manage cardiac drips for admitted patients
Assess, plan, and coordinate complex patient care plans from admission to discharge
Utilize critical thinking to support seamless transitions of care across the continuum
Monitor department quality metrics and ensure accurate patient record documentation
Act as a clinical mentor, educator, and consultant to nursing staff and patients
