About this role

The Research Affiliate I position offers a post-doctoral research opportunity focused on advancing skills in molecular microbiology and the pathogenesis of Mycobacterium tuberculosis within a mouse model of infection. The role involves designing and executing experiments using molecular genetics, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry techniques under the guidance of a Principal Investigator. Incumbents will also manage daily operations of the laboratory animal program, including IACUC protocol writing and mouse husbandry.

Responsibilities

Design and execute molecular microbiology experiments in a mouse model of Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection
Handle mice and perform intrapulmonary delivery of drugs to infected subjects
