About this role

Labcorp is seeking a Research Assistant to join the Animal Operations team in Greenfield, Indiana, where you will conduct animal research studies evaluating the safety, effectiveness, and toxicity of early-stage drugs and chemical substances. The role involves performing husbandry duties, dosing techniques, and collecting biological samples while maintaining high standards of animal care and welfare. You will also perform basic measurements, monitor behavior changes, and document findings in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).

Responsibilities

Conduct animal research studies on drug safety and toxicity
Perform husbandry duties and dosing techniques on small and large animals
Collect biological samples and perform basic physiological measurements
Maintain animal care standards in accordance with AAALAC guidelines
Document findings in LIMS and report animal concerns to supervisors

Qualifications

Associate's degree in veterinary technologyBachelor's Degree in Animal ScienceAALAS Certification (preferred)
