Research Associate in Synthetic Cell Communication

This position involves establishing and characterizing a non-chemical mode of cell-to-cell communication using visible light within Prof. Seraphine Wegner’s research group at the Institute for Physiological Chemistry and Biochemistry. The role focuses on developing light-based approaches to connect synthetic and living cells as part of an ERC Consolidator Grant-Lighthouse project. Responsibilities include fluorescence microscopy, image analysis, and biochemical techniques to decipher communication rules and program multicellular behavior.
