About this role

The Research Associate supports the TOPS evaluation core lead by managing and executing daily evaluation operations for the Texas Opioid Prevention for K-12 Students project. This role involves collaborating with school implementation and community engagement teams, liaising with external partners, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. The position also includes training undergraduate and graduate students and other staff involved in research activities.

Responsibilities

Design and coordinate community-based participatory research and public health evaluation activities
Develop and implement qualitative and mixed-methods research protocols including surveys and focus groups
Manage data collection and support analysis of qualitative and quantitative data using appropriate software

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, health promotion, social and behavioral sciences, community health, or closely related social science disciplineMaster's Degree in related field (e.g. public health, health education, health promotion, program management or other related fields)
