Research Fellow (Chemistry)

A Research Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Associate Professor Shu-Sin Chng at the Department of Chemistry, NUS, starting in January 2027. The role focuses on characterizing the chemistry and biology of membrane biogenesis, specifically elucidating the mechanisms of inter-membrane phospholipid and mycolic acid trafficking in Gram-negative bacteria and mycobacteria. The successful candidate will use molecular genetics and/or biochemistry to interrogate bacterial lipid transport machinery and independently drive research projects.
