Research Fellow

This role involves advancing a project on direct lithium extraction using protein-programmed inorganic membranes by expressing, purifying, and characterizing self-assembling S-layer proteins. The Research Fellow will optimize protein expression in bacterial hosts, validate self-assembly capabilities, and provide well-characterized proteins to support biomineralization and membrane manufacturing workstreams. The position offers an opportunity to engage in a highly interdisciplinary project spanning protein science, materials chemistry, and bioprocessing.
