Research Scientist

This role involves participating in the Pfenning laboratory's work on the Vertebrate Genomes Project, an international consortium focused on sequencing and analyzing vertebrate genomes. The scientist will conduct mentored research to apply machine learning approaches for identifying genome sequence signals related to the evolution of cell type-specific gene regulatory programs. Additionally, the position includes applying this analysis to study the genetic basis of behavior and engineer cell type-specific genetic tools.
