The Poleg-Polsky lab in the Department of Physiology & Biophysics is seeking an Entry-level Research Services Professional to join a team focused on understanding the functions of neurons and circuits in the retina and the early visual system. This position offers collaboration across multiple laboratories, combining retinal electrophysiology, two-photon imaging, cellular and circuit modeling, and rodent visual behaviors. The role also involves investigating degenerative neurological conditions that lead to alterations in visual processing.

Responsibilities

Perform whole-cell patch-clamp electrophysiology and two-photon calcium imaging
Conduct biophysical modeling and construct machine learning-based models
Analyze single-cell and population-level recordings using statistical methods
