About this role

A Research Technician IV at ICON's Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) Wound Infection Department works in a dynamic environment focused on developing countermeasures for infection of combat wounds through research in molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, X-ray crystallography, and other laboratory techniques.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support in molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, X-ray crystallography, and chromatographic systems
Perform microbiological and molecular biological studies on bacterial pathogens
Conduct genetic analysis techniques including PCR testing and DNA sequencing
Cultures infectious agents and prepares pure sterile DNA samples
Maintain accurate research records and follow established laboratory protocols
