It rates and recommends “top charities” based on effectiveness, cost‑effectiveness, transparency, and quality of evidence, and publishes detailed reviews, data, and models to support donors’ decisions. GiveWell focuses largely on high-impact global health and poverty interventions backed by measurable outcomes and randomized trials, and it also facilitates large-scale grants to the highest‑impact programs.
