About this role

The Researcher will play a central role in the Buonpane Lab, conducting and overseeing basic and translational research focused on premature intestinal biology and necrotizing enterocolitis. The position involves experimental planning, data analysis, maintaining laboratory protocols, and supporting the day-to-day scientific and operational needs of a growing research program. The role also includes mentoring students and trainees, interacting with patients and families for human-subjects research, and contributing to scientific dissemination.

Responsibilities

Conduct and oversee laboratory research using organoids, cell culture, and animal models
Establish and maintain neonatal animal models and patient-derived intestinal organoid models
Train and provide day-to-day guidance to laboratory members and research trainees
