About this role

The Resource Acquisitions Coordinator leads and supports the team responsible for acquiring, receiving, and managing physical and electronic library collections throughout their lifecycle. This role combines operational management with strategic coordination to ensure efficient workflows, timely access, and alignment with emerging technologies and best practices within the UT Libraries Content Management team.

Responsibilities

Manages and coordinates workflows for the Resource Acquisitions team
Supervises salaried and student workers within the acquisitions unit
Establishes and documents workflows for acquisition and maintenance of collections
Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure timely procurement and access to resources
Provides training and instruction for library personnel in acquisitions workflows

Qualifications

Master's degree in Library or Information ScienceExperience with Ex Libris Alma and PrimoKnowledge of collection development principlesUnderstanding of library fiscal policy requirementsAbility to lead and supervise a small team
