The Lactation Consultant RN at MercyOne works in the Birth Center providing specialized, evidence-based lactation and breastfeeding support to mothers and infants. The role supports family-centered care and collaborates with the Women & Children care team while upholding the organization's mission and clinical standards. This is a 0.9 FTE position scheduled for 12-hour night shifts.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Current Iowa RN license
- Current Illinois RN license (if working in IL)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) - ALPP
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) (within 3 years of hire)
- Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training (within 3 months of hire)
