About this role

NXP is seeking a Senior Field Application Engineer (FAE) with 10+ years of experience to lead technical solutions for the robotics market, specifically aiding customers in deploying NXP processors for humanoids, drones, and AMRs. The role involves architecting edge-compute systems, integrating software stacks, and providing deep technical support across hardware, kernel, and AI inference workloads. This position requires strong embedded Linux expertise, heterogeneous compute knowledge, and the ability to guide customers from silicon selection through system bring-up.

Responsibilities

Architect end-to-end robotics compute solutions for customer engagements
Guide customers in deploying complete robotics software stacks on NXP platforms
Provide technical leadership for edge-compute architecture and processor selection
Lead design of companion computers and vision/perception subsystems
Enable customer AI and sensor-fusion workloads on NXP processors and NPUs
