About this role

This role involves developing robust, ROS2-based algorithms for controlling manipulator arms and end-effector handling on autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) used for close-range inspection of maritime infrastructure. The position requires collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and research partners to validate solutions for real ocean conditions and analyze sensor and navigation data. The successful candidate will work within the Subsea group to drive forward innovative solutions in underwater robotics.

Responsibilities

Develop manipulator control and end-effector handling for autonomous underwater vehicles
Create and validate solutions for inspecting critical underwater infrastructure
Plan and evaluate simulations and maritime field tests analyzing sensor data
