About this role

Nextpower is seeking a Safety Engineer to develop, implement, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs for manufacturing, testing, and field operations. This role serves as a senior technical resource for complex safety matters, focusing on high-power electrical test systems, large-format equipment, and contract manufacturing environments. The position partners with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to integrate safety into equipment, workstation, and process design.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement environmental, health, and safety programs for manufacturing and testing operations
Conduct hazard assessments, job safety analyses, and incident investigations to ensure regulatory compliance
Partner with engineering and manufacturing teams to integrate safety into equipment and process design

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related technical disciplineCertified Safety Professional (CSP)Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
