Safety Engineer

This role owns the safety of Sunrise Robotics' robotic cells as a product, covering functional safety, software safety, and deployment sign-off from initial design through customer installation. The position involves defining safety concepts, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with EU machinery regulations while collaborating with engineering teams to integrate safety into dynamic manufacturing environments. The role requires navigating grey areas in safety standards to create clear, defensible safety solutions for flexible robotic systems.
