About this role

As a Sales Associate at Pet Valu, you will assist pet parents in finding the right nutrition and supplies for their animals within one of North America's largest retail operations. The role involves cashiering, order preparation, stocking merchandise, and maintaining store cleanliness while collaborating with a team of passionate Pet Experts. You will contribute to community efforts by supporting local shelter partnerships and participating in adoption events and fundraising campaigns.

Responsibilities

Assist customers in selecting pet food, nutrition, and supplies tailored to their needs
Operate the point-of-sale system to process cash, credit, and electronic payments
Stock sales areas and shelves with merchandise up to 50 lbs repeatedly
Prepare merchandise orders, handle banking, and manage miscellaneous store paperwork
Perform general store maintenance including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning common areas
