The Same Day Surgery RN provides skilled nursing care throughout the pre-operative and post-anesthesia phases in a busy orthopedic ambulatory surgery center. The role involves direct patient care, assessments, medication reconciliation, education, and coordination with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure safe and efficient patient flow.
