The Scientist, Purification Process Development (Pre-Pivotal) leads and executes laboratory experimentation for purification processes during pre-clinical and Phase I/II development at Gilead. This role involves designing process development studies, supporting scaleup into GMP facilities, and mentoring junior team members on experimental strategies. The candidate will drive platform evolution and technology implementation to ensure timely first-in-human clinical trial timelines.

Responsibilities

Lead purification process development laboratory studies with minimal supervision
Establish and maintain a state-of-the-art purification lab for biologics manufacturability
Support process transfer to internal and external GMP production facilities
Mentor junior team members on experimental design and execution strategies
Analyze laboratory data in compliance with integrity policies and statistical standards

Qualifications
