About this role

This role defines and builds Plaid's GRC Engineering discipline from the ground up, transforming manual compliance processes into automated, data-driven systems. The owner will architect the engineering foundation for security assurance, implement continuous controls monitoring, and leverage AI to shift compliance left within the software development lifecycle. By turning policies into code and evidence into telemetry, the position ensures the platform remains secure, resilient, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

Architect the engineering foundation for GRC controls and policies
Build continuous controls monitoring across cloud and internal systems
Develop SQL-driven dashboards to visualize real-time risk signals
Embed policy-as-code checks into the CI/CD pipeline
