About this role

Leidos Australia is seeking a Security Engineer to implement, configure, and operate technical security controls across the enterprise environment. This role embeds security into infrastructure and services by collaborating with engineering teams to design, deploy, and maintain capabilities aligned with Australian Government requirements like ISM, PSPF, and Essential Eight. The engineer will manage security tooling, conduct vulnerability management, and support secure design activities while ensuring compliance and continuous improvement of defensive controls.

Responsibilities

Implement and configure technical security controls across infrastructure and platforms
Manage security tooling for monitoring, detection, and analysis of threats
Perform vulnerability management including identification, prioritization, and remediation
Embed security into secure design and build processes for systems and applications
Collaborate with multi-vendor teams to ensure consistent control implementation and compliance
