About this role

The Security Engineering Manager leads the health, performance, and continuous improvement of Varicent's security tooling ecosystem and owns the maturity of the Incident Response program. This individual contributor role focuses on technical leadership, security program ownership, and managing external security vendors rather than directly managing an internal team. The position involves defining and executing the endpoint security program roadmap, holding vendors accountable to service levels, and building organizational readiness through tabletop exercises and clear incident response procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead endpoint security program execution and operations across EDR, DLP, ZTNA, PAM, and EPM platforms
Own incident response processes, procedures, and playbooks while conducting annual tabletop exercises
Manage MDR vendor performance and oversee Tier 1 and Tier 2 alert triage and deep investigation
