About this role
Under general supervision and according to prescribed procedures, the Security Officer ensures the safety and protection of patients, visitors, staff, property, buildings and grounds across the GBMC campus. The role supports a secure hospital environment by upholding security policies and coordinating with departments during incidents and emergencies. It requires adherence to ongoing training and licensure requirements and the ability to operate in dynamic, high-demand settings.

Qualifications
- Current State Driver’s License
- Maryland Security Guard License
- Security Guard Certification issued by the Maryland State Police
- Security Guard Training by a Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission approved instructor
- CPR Certification

- EMTALA Training
- Workplace Violence Prevention Training
