Security Services - Qualified Persons (Security Officer)

The Qualified Persons Security Officer (QPSO) is a healthcare employee licensed under the Private Investigators and Security Guards Act, trained to support a safe and secure healthcare environment. This role involves recognizing and responding to challenging situations involving vulnerable mental health patients through de-escalation techniques and supporting the transfer of custody process between police and health facilities. The position ensures a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for clients, staff, and visitors while maintaining compliance with the Manitoba Mental Health Act and regional policies.
