Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant at The Maritime Aquarium reports to the Vice President of Finance and is responsible for maintaining the integrity of financial data and ensuring compliance with regulatory, accounting, and auditing requirements. The role supports financial statement preparation, month-end and year-end close, audit coordination, and provides analysis to inform management and executive decision-making. The position collaborates across accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll/grants, and other departments to deliver accurate, timely reporting. The Senior Accountant also contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and continuous improvement of financial processes.
