The Senior Accountant owns the general ledger subledgers and the execution of the month-end close, ensuring compliance with GAAP and nonprofit fund accounting standards. The role involves maintaining fixed asset and inventory accounting, performing payroll accounting, and preparing audit schedules while reviewing the work of the Staff Accountant. This position works as a peer to the Finance & Systems Analyst under the direction of the Controller in a mission-driven healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Own execution of month-end close including journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintain fixed asset and inventory accounting ledgers and roll-forward schedules
Prepare audit schedules and ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit standards
