About this role

Axsome Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Accountant to support accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and financial planning activities. This role partners across Finance, Commercial, Supply Chain, and R&D functions to contribute to SEC reporting, internal controls, and strategic finance initiatives. The position is based at the company's New York City headquarters with a requirement to work on-site at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

Assist with monthly and quarterly close including journal entries and financial statement consolidation
Support SEC reporting and review of 10-Q and 10-K filings
Manage SOX internal controls testing and compliance activities
