Rocket Lab is hiring a Senior/Principal optical engineer to support integration, alignment, calibration, and verification of EO/IR payloads for national defense space missions. The role is hands-on and based in Tucson, AZ, focusing on optical bench setup, metrology, environmental-test readiness, and performance validation. The position works cross-functionally with Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, and AIT teams and supports customer reviews and technical briefings.
