About this role

Ciena is seeking a Senior Analog & Mixed-Signal Engineer to drive the design, modeling, and system-level validation of analog and mixed-signal subsystems for next-generation high-speed coherent optical modems. This role involves creating behavioral models using C++ and SystemC, integrating them with MATLAB simulations, and collaborating across hardware, DSP, and firmware teams to deliver architectural decisions from concept to deployment.

Responsibilities

Define and review system-level analog and mixed-signal functions for coherent optical modems
Develop behavioral models of analog blocks using C++ and SystemC
Build and maintain C++ and MATLAB-based verification flows with system simulators
Support ASIC lab bring-up and correlate silicon data with behavioral models
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to best practices in analog modeling
