About this role

A Senior Autonomous Systems Research Scientist at Carnegie Mellon’s AI for Autonomy Lab conducts and leads fundamental research on AI-enabled autonomous systems for high-stakes, mission-critical environments. The role focuses on advancing knowledge around assurance, collaborative autonomy, and the lifecycle of learning-based systems and translating research to support U.S. government sponsors. The position is embedded in the SEI’s AI Division and supports development of prototype operational capabilities.
