StraitsX
The Senior Backend Engineer will join the Card Issuing Team to build APIs and infrastructure for launching and managing card programs across Southeast Asia. This role involves taking ownership of core domains within the production platform, setting technical direction, and making architectural decisions for high-stakes systems. The position requires leading technical design, scaling microservices, and driving integrations with card networks and payment processors. Additionally, the engineer will partner with cross-functional teams to solve ambiguous problems and mentor junior staff while pioneering the use of AI tools in a regulated environment.
