The Senior Capital Project Engineer will lead the development, design, and construction of pilot and intermediate scale biomanufacturing facilities, translating stakeholder needs into robust unit operations and facility designs. BioMADE (Bioindustrial Manufacturing and Design Ecosystem) is a national initiative to accelerate the development and adoption of biotechnology-enabled, bio-based manufacturing in the United States. By convening industry, academic, and government partners, BioMADE funds and coordinates R&D, scale-up demonstrations, and workforce development to bring sustainable bioproducts from concept to commercialization. It focuses on creating a robust domestic bio-manufacturing ecosystem, improving supply chain resilience, and translating bioscience into real-world products. Through open collaboration, shared infrastructure, and clear pathways to scale, BioMADE aims to reduce reliance on fossil-based materials and advance U.S. leadership in advanced manufacturing.
