Responsibilities

Review medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures requiring code assignment
Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes for inpatient settings
Query physicians regarding ambiguous or inadequate clinical documentation
Ensure specificity of codes to maximize appropriate reimbursement
Maintain high accuracy rates in DRG assignment and coding productivity
