About this role

The Senior Data Platform Architect designs and governs SSIM's enterprise data platform across Snowflake, Databricks, and open formats like Iceberg and Delta Lake. This role ensures the platform meets financial-services regulatory expectations, enterprise security standards, and data protection requirements while enabling scalable delivery for investment management use cases. The position involves hands-on architectural decision-making, disaster recovery planning, and leading the modernization of batch applications from legacy systems to cloud-native environments.

Responsibilities

Define and govern hybrid Snowflake and Databricks architecture for enterprise scale
Architect open data platform strategy leveraging Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake
Lead migration of legacy batch applications to cloud-native orchestration
Enforce data security by design including RBAC and column masking
Drive cross-cloud HA/DR designs and interoperability across AWS, Azure, and GCP
