About this role

Ursa Major is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design, development, and qualification of solid rocket motor thrust vector control (TVC) structures and mechanisms. The role involves translating customer requirements into robust, manufacturable TVC designs, executing design trades, and supporting test campaigns to de-risk new concepts. This position requires hands-on involvement on the build floor, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure nozzle designs meet all stakeholder needs.

Responsibilities

Design and develop solid rocket motor thrust vector control systems and mechanisms
Execute design trades and analyze actuation system performance and kinematics
Lead test campaigns and troubleshoot hardware integration on the build floor
