About this role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Alpaca, you will design, build, and operate the global cloud infrastructure supporting high-performance trading systems. You will implement Infrastructure-as-Code solutions on Google Cloud Platform, manage Kubernetes clusters, and strengthen the observability stack to ensure system reliability. This role requires a Platform-as-a-Product mindset to create self-serve capabilities for engineering teams while participating in a distributed, follow-the-sun on-call model.

Responsibilities

Design and evolve cloud architecture on Google Cloud Platform
Build and own CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code changes
Operate GKE clusters and manage message brokers and data stores
Strengthen observability stack with metrics, logs, and traces
Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotation and incident management
