About this role

A Senior Lab Systems Engineer at Lilly drives the implementation, configuration, and support of Laboratory Execution Systems (LES) and Lab applications like Empower CDS. The role ensures systems are compliant, scalable, and integrated with connected platforms such as LIMS and enterprise systems while leading end-to-end system lifecycle management. Candidates will partner with global quality, lab, and IT teams to define standards, drive automation, and maintain GxP/CSV compliance across the global manufacturing network.

Responsibilities

Deploy, configure, and integrate Empower/LAC/E and SmartLab LES systems
Ensure compliance with GMP principles including 21 CFR Part 11 and ALCOA+
Design and implement integration solutions across LES, CDS, and Data Lake platforms
Serve as Technical SME for SmartLab leading end-to-end system lifecycle management
Drive process improvements through automation and adoption of new technologies

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Instrumentation, Chemical Engineering, or Analytical Chemistry8+ years of professional experience6+ years in laboratory informatics within pharma/biotech4+ years hands-on experience with Empower/LAC/ECertification in any lab solution (preferred)
