About this role

The Senior Legislative Analyst will serve as the principal advisor on congressional and legislative matters for the Department of War's Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program and Defense Production Act initiatives. The role involves analyzing legislation, NDAA provisions, appropriations, and executive policies, and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership. It also includes coordinating with the Office of the Secretary of War, military departments, Congress, and interagency partners to ensure compliance and advance defense industrial base priorities.

Responsibilities

Advise senior leaders on legislative impacts and statutory authorities
Develop executive briefings, issue papers, and legislative proposals for DoD officials
Coordinate congressional reporting, hearings, and engagement for IBAS/DPA programs
