Ontario Northland
The Senior Manager Environmental Compliance and Programs provides corporate oversight of environmental compliance, regulatory obligations, environmental risk, sustainability requirements, and GIS services across Ontario Northland Transportation Commission. The role leads a multidisciplinary team and external service providers to identify legal requirements, implement compliance controls, and ensure obligations and commitments are met. This position serves as a senior advisor on environmental matters, supporting leadership, regulators, Indigenous communities, and other external stakeholders.
Ontario Northland is a Crown agency of the Government of Ontario that provides transportation services across Northern Ontario, headquartered in North Bay. It operates intercity motor coach (bus) services and the Polar Bear Express passenger train linking Cochrane to Moosonee, and is actively working toward the reinstatement of the Northlander passenger rail service in Northeastern Ontario. Additional services include freight, parcel delivery, and rail infrastructure, with a mandate to connect remote communities and support regional mobility in both English and French.
