About this role

The Senior Manager, API External Manufacturing Lead oversees API manufacturing execution and supply continuity across Madrigal's external contract manufacturing organization (CMO) network. This role leads the API Virtual Plant Team, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to monitor performance, resolve operational constraints, and manage risk for key manufacturing milestones. Additionally, the position supports the development and optimization of the manufacturing network, including vendor onboarding and qualification activities.

Responsibilities

Monitor API manufacturing performance across assigned CMOs using established KPIs
Coordinate resolution of supply constraints and develop recovery plans
Lead cross-functional coordination for API manufacturing execution and milestones
Support vendor onboarding and qualification activities for the manufacturing network
Partner with Quality and MSAT to support deviation management and compliance initiatives

Skills

Qualifications

BS in Supply Chain, Engineering, Science, or related field7-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing
