About this role

A Senior Manager, Financial Reporting at Extendicare supports all elements of the accounting function, including IFRS analysis, month-end close, reconciliations, and variance analysis. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate financial systems, manage audits, and ensure accurate financial reporting while driving process improvements. This position requires reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and supporting the broader culture of care across Canada.

Responsibilities

Manage general ledger accounts and prepare monthly/annual financial reports
Own the month-end close process for balance sheet and P&L accounts
Prepare and present budget-to-actual variance analysis to support business decisions
Manage auditor requests and submissions to external parties
Coach and mentor team members towards team objectives
