About this role

Senior Mechanical Engineer II / Principal Mechanical Engineer in Rocket Lab’s Optical Systems division based in Tucson, AZ, supporting advanced space payload and IRAD programs for DoD and Intelligence Community customers. The role contributes to program execution across all phases and supports design, development, build, and test of flight hardware. Candidates must be adaptable, collaborative, detail-oriented, and able to work on mission-critical hardware. This position may be filled at the Senior Mechanical Engineer II (8+ years) or Principal Mechanical Engineer (12+ years) level and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.
