About this role

AV is seeking experienced Mechanical Engineers to design electromechanical and opto-mechanical systems for airborne, unmanned aerial systems (UAS), and robotic platforms. Ideal candidates will utilize SolidWorks and ANSYS for complex structural, thermal, and vibration analysis to drive designs from concept through production. The role involves leading the development of optical and motion control assemblies, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and quality standards, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and development of complex assemblies for airborne and robotic systems
Perform structural and thermal analysis using ANSYS to validate designs against requirements
Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and assemblies ensuring airworthiness compliance
Collaborate with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless system integration
Drive designs from concept through prototype, qualification, and production phases
