About this role

As a Senior Perception Engineer, you will own the spatial state-estimation layer for SE3 Labs' autonomous UAV platform, designing robust perception systems that operate reliably in GPS-denied or degraded real-world conditions. The role involves developing algorithms for visual-inertial odometry, SLAM, and sensor fusion while optimizing pipelines for onboard compute on platforms like Nvidia Jetson. You will collaborate across robotics, embedded, and hardware teams to translate perception research into fieldable capabilities for applications ranging from construction to defence.

Responsibilities

Design and deploy robust Visual-Inertial Odometry and state-estimation pipelines
Fuse and synchronize data from cameras and IMUs for spatial context
Develop SLAM algorithms for mapping and re-localization in degraded environments
Optimize perception pipelines for resource-constrained onboard compute platforms
Mentor engineers and establish engineering standards for the perception roadmap
