Senior Planning Officer

This role involves processing and determining a complex caseload of planning applications across Somerset, including major development schemes, through negotiation with developers and consideration of third-party comments. The position requires providing professional support and guidance to planning officers, preparing reports for Planning Committee, and representing the Local Planning Authority at appeals and public inquiries. The role also includes responding to enquiries from developers, members, and the public to ensure an efficient and reliable planning service.
