Canadian Federation of Independent Business
The Senior Policy Analyst role at CFIB involves developing and coordinating legislative, research, and communications activities to support small businesses in Vancouver and across British Columbia. The position requires representing the organization in lobbying efforts, conducting policy research, and serving as a media spokesperson to advocate for small business interests. This full-time hybrid role reports to the Director of Legislative Affairs and contributes to shaping economic and policy directions for the Canadian small business sector.
The Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) is a non-profit advocacy group founded in 1971 that represents and supports small and medium-sized businesses across Canada. CFIB lobbies federal, provincial and municipal governments, conducts research and runs campaigns on policy issues such as taxes, regulation, labour and the cost of doing business. It also provides members with practical services — including advice, templates, insurance and discount programs, HR and legal resources — to help businesses operate and grow. CFIB operates nationally with a large grassroots membership and offers services in both English and French.
