The role will work with utilities and internal teams to unlock hosting capacity, advance DER integration strategies, and develop pilot initiatives such as DERMS and flexible interconnection across U.S. markets.

Responsibilities

Engage utility planning and engineering teams to increase hosting capacity
Develop data‑driven proposals aligning distributed energy deployment with utility objectives
Lead pilot initiatives such as DERMS, dynamic hosting capacity, and flexible interconnection
Analyze planning studies, load forecasts, and infrastructure plans to inform market strategy
Provide strategic guidance on integrating distributed solar and battery storage into utility networks

Skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related fieldProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseAdvanced degree in power systems, energy policy, or related discipline (preferred)Experience within a major electric utility, ISO/RTO, or grid consulting firm (preferred)Familiarity with major U.S. power markets such as PJM, NYISO, CAISO, ERCOT, MISO (preferred)
